Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) that assesses the English language proficiency of non-native students that plan to enroll in English speaking universities.

The iBT test is offered multiple times a year. The iBT test can be taken as many times as needed. However, there is a mandatory 3-day gap between attempts.

The four sections of the test are scored. Each section has a score from 0-30, The total score range is from 0-120. A score of 80 is considered proficient, but top universities require scores above 100.
The test is valid for 2 years.
There are 2 options:
The updated TOEFL iBT will become adaptive, adjusting to each student’s ability level. This will create a more efficient and personalized test experience, and will allow students to showcase their full potential.
90 minutes
The four sections will be scored the way they were previously scored and there will be an additional overall score on the 1-6 scale. The overall score will be the average of all four sections, rounded to the nearest half band (for example, if a student’s section score is 5.125, they will receive an overall score of 5).
